If you play with us regularly, please join as a member. Your membership helps cover the club’s running costs, buy equipment and develop chess in Newbury.

Both memberships include the same benefits. Choose Supporter if you can contribute a little more.
Weekly social chess remains free to attend for new players. If you play regularly, please support the club by becoming a member.
What happens next
- Choose a monthly or annual membership and pay securely through Stripe.
- Stripe asks for your name, email address and phone number so we can identify your membership.
- Your membership starts as soon as the payment succeeds.
Renewals and cancellation
Monthly and annual memberships renew automatically. Stripe sends renewal reminders for both billing options, with annual reminders sent 30 days before renewal.
You can cancel at any time and your membership continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
